Medicare
Medicare eligibility is determined individually, meaning one spouse may qualify while the other does not — and the reverse may also be true. Unless you have a qualifying disability, you won’t be eligible for Medicare until you turn 65, even if you retire before then.
Once you become eligible, Medicare becomes your primary health insurance. However, original Medicare doesn’t cover all healthcare costs, so you may want to consider enrolling in supplemental coverage to help fill the gaps.
Medicare Part A – Covers inpatient care in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities (after a qualifying hospital stay), as well as certain home health and hospice care services.
Medicare Part B – Covers services such as doctor visits, medical supplies, and other healthcare services not included under Part A. Premiums may apply.
Medicare Part D – Provides coverage for prescription medications prescribed by your doctor. Part D is separate from basic Medicare, and premiums may apply.
Any extra coverage you choose will help fill the gaps in what Medicare doesn't cover.
Medicare Advantage, or Medicare Part C, is a private insurance alternative to traditional Medicare. With traditional Medicare, you typically need to see a primary care provider who accepts Medicare. In contrast, Medicare Advantage works more like an employer-sponsored health plan, allowing you to visit any provider within the plan’s network—not just those who accept Medicare.
One of the key benefits of Medicare Advantage is that it combines coverage into a single plan, including Part A (hospital), Part B (medical), and often Part D (prescription drugs). This all-in-one approach can simplify the enrollment process and potentially reduce your out-of-pocket expenses. Our agents are available to guide you through your options and help you find the plan that best meets your healthcare needs.
You have the option to purchase supplemental coverage to help reduce out-of-pocket expenses that Medicare Parts A and B don’t fully cover, such as coinsurance, copayments, and deductibles. Our knowledgeable agents can guide you through the various Medicare Supplement plans — including Plan F, Plan G, Plans K and L, and Plan N — and assist you in creating a benefits package tailored to your specific needs
Although most people become eligible for Medicare at age 65, there are certain exceptions. Our knowledgeable agents are here to help you navigate your Medicare eligibility and enrollment process.
